No Limit RC's Very Own Bari Musawwir Makes His Monster Jam Driving Debut!
I set out Tuesday, May 25th for my first journey ever out of the United States of America to live a lifetime dream of driving a monster truck. Panama City, Panama was the destination where I was set and ready to pilot the Backwards Bob monster truck at the second Monster Jam at Rod Carew Stadium. I got fitted in the truck with the help of my crew chief for the weekend, Whit Tarlton, the driver of Spider-Man. Whit was great to work with. He gave me tips on how the seat belts need to feel and where they need to be! Thanks Whit! We had a media day on Thursday which involved two radio stations and two TV appearances, which were great fun. On Friday the crew made final preparations for the show on Saturday. The Staff in Panama were great to work with, they saw to it that we were everywhere we needed to be. Well the day I had finally been waiting for was finally here. Saturday May 29th was upon us, and it was show time. I was slated to surprise the Monster Jam fans in Panama as I blasted out of a box the track crew had constructed for intros. It was a great way to start off the show. Once I was in the truck, I soon noticed it's not the easiest truck to see out of as some people may think. It's great for looking straight ahead, but the bedsides act as blinders for you when you want to look side to side. I was able to crack off a 23 in the wheelie contest, finishing behind Neil Elliot and Max D who scored a 26. After the wheelie contest, the pre-show butterflies were long gone, and it was time to move on to racing. I raced Lupe Soza in Round one and he beat me pretty easily as I hit two of the turning cars going into turn one. I never even saw them coming, but I managed to finish the race and learned that you have to get used to the boundaries of the truck since your vision is impaired. After racing, I set my focus toward freestyle. I planned to hit every obstacle on the stadium floor at least once. The dirt crew set up a sweet freestyle track that included a double bus stack, a triple car step up jump with a big air ramp on the other side, an elevated car van car stack and vert ramp racing lanes. I was able to stick to my plan and get some pretty good air. The truck landed great, thanks to Josh Garcia who is the shock guru for Monster Jam. At the end of the night I was pretty pleased with my first show ever. It was a great feeling to have a show under my belt. On day two, I got some good tips from the entire Monster Jam crew and set out to execute what they said. I was able to do a lot better in racing , and carry more momentum in freestyle which everyone noticed. I was stoked with my first ever driving experience at a Monster Jam show, and I look forward to more in the future. It was great meeting all the great Monster Jam fans in Panama. Thanks to all the Crew and staff for their hard work, dedication, and advice. This is truly a dream come true. Visit Monster Jam online here to see results from my first show.

The No Limit RC of Florida crew made their 2nd stop of the 2010 Advance Auto Parts Florida Monster Jam tour on January 23rd at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. With a great sunny Florida day ahead of them, they set up a Las Vegas style obstacle course at the Built Ford Tough Party in the pits. With 24 replica RC monster trucks in attendance, the Tampa Monster Jam fans were sure in for a great day of elimination bracket racing and Freestyle. After Driver introductions it was 2007 RC Monster Truck World Finals Racing Champion Justin Heard setting the pace as he qualified number 1 with his HPI Savage XL Batman. In true World Finals style, the fastest 8 qualifiers automatically earned a seed in the 2nd round. The upset of the day would come in that 2nd round when 11 year old Chris Dixon and his Nitro Circus Savage X took out the number 1 qualifier Justin Heard. Chris would go on to defeat Michael Hartsock (son of Scott Hartsock) and the Gunslinger to earn a race against the always consistently fast Bari Musawwir with his Savage X Grave Digger. Chris gave Bari all he wanted as the trucks soared over the finish line jump with Bari barley edging out Chris in 1 of the better races of the day. On the other side of the bracket Bari’s Advance Auto Parts Grinder Savage X Narrowly escaped a round 1 defeat at the hands of Charles Beaman and his Monster Mutt. Bari would move through rounds 2 and 3 to take down the number 2 qualifier Billy Dunleavy and his Savage X Escalade in the other semi final race. When the dust settled Bari saw himself matched up against him-self in the finals. Bari gave the driving duties of his Grave Digger Savage X over to Justin Heard to give the huge crowd a great final race. When light changed to green on the Christmas tree timing system, both trucks thundered off the starting line with nearly identical reaction times. As they approached the critical turn, the Grinder carried more momentum and throttled it home for the win, launching off the final jump. With his second win in as many races Bari was amped to put on an awesome freestyle show with his HPI Baja 5T and boy did he. Check out the photos below if you need visual proof! No Limit RC of Florida would like to thank HPI Racing, Hot Bodies by HPI, SMC Batteries, Parma, RC Car magazine, RC Car Action Magazine, Spectrum RC, and Monster Jam for there continued support!!
